We've started studying maps this week! Students have been practicing using a compass rose, cardinal directions, and a key to read maps.
We published our poems and got to share them with other first graders during our poetry celebration on Tuesday!
Now, we've started writing realistic fiction stories!
Students have been reading, spelling, and sorting long and short vowel words during our word study time each day.
FYI: Next Tuesday we will be taking a local field trip to visit Eartha!
As part of the Ice Cream Social next month, all classrooms have started collecting donations for the famous raffle baskets! Our basket theme is Beach Party. Towels, sunscreen, beach toys, and all other beach goodies can be sent into the classroom at any time!
