We've been working on using lots of strategies to solve addition and subtraction facts quickly (we call it Fact Power). Now that our addition fact power is strong, we are going to start focusing more on subtraction strategies here in the classroom in the coming months.
In science, students designed and tested different wheel and axle systems in an effort to find the design that rolls the farthest.
In writers workshop we've been studying the work of Donald Crews and trying out some of his craft moves in our own writing!
