In readers workshop students are being the bosses of their own reading! They are using their own charts and expertise to help each other be the best readers they can be!
In math we've been practicing strategies to add double and triple digit numbers together.
In science students created tops out of disks and straws. They experimented with different designs and chose the ones that spun the longest and fastest to draw in their science journals. On Friday we had a spin-off to determine the overall best top design. Students decided on the criteria that determined the winning design:
-longest spin
-least amount of wobble
