In math this week we practiced exchanging coins and using the <, >, and = symbols.
In science we experimented with a variety of different tools and forces to make pom poms move (no hands allowed!).
In readers workshop students have been using post-it notes to mark interesting parts of their non-fiction books and keywords they want to discuss with partners. We are also practicing reading with a smooth and lively voice. Encouraging the same type of reading at home is extremely beneficial to the development of reading fluency.
