Week Three!

We've been working diligently on our ability to read long and strong this week.  On Friday we read for 17 minutes with no interruptions!

We've also started setting daily reading goals for ourselves and are now keeping track of the books we read each day.

We've started tracking daylight hours.  After reading a bit about the sun and Earth's relationship and researching daylight hours in Yarmouth for September, students made predictions for the month of October.

We've started adding words to our small moments stories!
We visited the transfer station here in Yarmouth to learn more about where our trash goes when it leaves our houses and school.
Eco Maine visited us to help us better understand how their work helps the Earth and us!

We've been exploring lots of math tools this week and practiced using some of them to help us solve number stories.
